Pastor Dave’s Thought For Today – April 1st

Preacher:
Passage: Romans.15:13, Hebrews.12:1, Romans.5:1-5

"HOPE"

In this time of national struggling to maintain our national hopes, the Apostle Paul writes: “May the God of HOPE fill you with joy and peace in your faith, that by the power of the Holy Spirit, your whole life and outlook may be radiant with HOPE."  The author of Hebrews, recounting the heroes of faith says: "Surrounded then as we are by these serried ranks of witnesses, let us strip off everything that hinders us, as well as the sin which dogs our feet, and let us run the race that we have to run with patience, our eyes fixed on Jesus the source and goal of our faith."  Romans.15:13; Hebrews.12:1 J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

Men can survive most any circumstance with HOPE, but not much without it.  "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in HOPE of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance character; and character, HOPE. Now HOPE does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans.5:1-5.

Please join me in praying that in a real Holy Spirit Revival, Americans place HOPE in Christ before any political or financial "hope" without Him.
