Passage: Romans 6:7-18

Pastor Dave began this third study in the "Romans-The Reckoning" series with a study on Romans 1 via Romans 6:7-18 - "Not Any More":  He asked a question by saying "There is no sense in talking about Romans unless you know the Lord", as a self-check.  We are under grace.  As Christians we are dead to sin (that is, missing the point or target) - are we serving God?  As we pray, are we praying by habit or with a real relationship with the Lord.

As Christians, Christ who knew no sin became sin for us, and thus we are alive to God through Jesus.  We have fellowship with God.  We are under grace and not under the law.  We have been forgiven our sin (a legal term), thus pardoned, and Jesus paid our penalty. God loves each of us and we have a real relationship with Him.

"Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so".
